Dr. Barbara LaMere-Heck D.D.S.
Gosport Dental Clinic was founded by Dr. Barbara LaMere-Heck in 1981. Dr. LaMere-Heck graduated from Indiana University with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, and then again from IU School of Dentistry in 1980. Following graduation, Dr. LaMere-Heck worked as an associate dentist before opening her own practice. She has three children and three grandchildren, whom she loves spending time with! In “Docs” free time you can find her walking through the park!
Terri Irwin
Terri has been with us since 1982. Her duties include making and repairing dentures and partials, and assisting with implant restoration. She is licensed in dental radiography and her Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certificate from Indiana University. In her free time she enjoys having fun with her grand kids (i.e. baseball, four-wheeler races and dance recitals), going camping and on vacations.
Rebecca Krauss
Rebecca has been with us since 2000 and works as one of our Dental Assistants. She loves working with patients of all ages! Rebecca has received her certificates in coronal polishing and fluoride applicant and license in dental radiography from Indiana University-School of Dentistry. She is a Gosport native and was Dr. Heck’s first patient when the office originally opened!
Yvonne Heston
Yvonne has been with us since 1991. Her responsibilities range over a multitude of assisting and lab duties. She has her Expanded Duties Assistant certificate and Dental Radiography license. Yvonne is married, has four daughters and two grandchildren.
Lexie Heck
Lexie is Dr. Heck’s youngest daughter and hopefully a treating dentist at Gosport Dental Clinic in the next few years. Lexie received her Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from Indiana State University and is currently attending *drum rolls please* …… IU School of Dentistry! At the office she serves as a business administrator. She currently holds a license in dental radiography and certificates in coronal polishing and fluoride application certificate.
Hallie Richards
Hallie has been with us since 2018. She is a dental assistant and front desk associate. Her duties include answering phones, sterilizing instruments, and collection of administrative work! Her hobbies include binge watching Netflix shows, spending time by the pool or with friends. She is currently a student at Indiana University studying human biology and plans to go on to professional school after completing her undergraduate studies. She has been a family friend of the Heck family for many years and started working here to gain experience and learn about the healthcare field.
Jordan Baldridge
Jordan has been with us since 2019. She’s one of our dental hygienists and helps keep our patients teeth and gums clean! She is a registered dental hygienist and is certified to give local anesthetics. In her free time, Jordan enjoys boating, watching sports and spending time with her ten year old son. In addition, she enjoys cleaning teeth and making people feel confident with their smile by helping them keeping their mouths healthy!
Ryen Kerr
Ryen has been with us since 2020. She’s one of our dental assistants and helps out with a miriad of tasks with our doctor. She also has her Expanded Functions Dental Assistant and license in dental radiography. In Ryen’s free time outside the office, her fiance, her sister and her enjoy working their show pigs and showing them all over the country! As well as showing, they also raise and sell show pigs to fellow 4-H families!
Lisa Abrell
Lisa has been with us since 2020. She’s one of our wonderful dental hygienists. Lisa’s goal as a dental hygienist is to provide excellent dental care to all of her patients. She enjoys patient education with an emphasis on prevention. Lisa received her dental hygiene license from Lakeland College in 2001. She is also an Owen County resident and an Owen county 4-H volunteer. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and outdoor activities, including fishing and gardening.
Logan Britton
Logan has been with us since 2020 and works as our Operations Coordinator. He’s graduated as an undergraduate from the University of Indianapolis in Criminal Justice with a minor in data analytics. In his free time he enjoys going fishing and boating.
Jacob Ivey
Jacob has been with us since 2020 and works as an Administrative Assistant Intern. He just recently graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Informatics! In his free time he likes to go kayaking, hiking and trying new food!
Jessica grew up in Gosport and studied dental assisting at Ivy Tech in Columbus and received additional dental training at Dental Careers Foundation in Indianapolis. She is X-ray certified and well versed in both dental insurance and clinical responsibilities, so you will find her working in both the business office as well as assisting with patient care! “ I chose to work in dentistry because I enjoy helping people and because I spent a lot of time at the dentist as a child. Dr. Heck was my first dentist and I am so happy to be a part of her team.” When she is not at work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband Jeremy and their three children Olivia, Lilly and Andrew. Her hobbies include yoga, hiking with her dogs, and attending her children’s sporting events.
